Auto (primary) liability
By law, every truck on the road must have liability insurance. AL compensates for damage caused by your vehicle to a third party. This is the most expensive type of insurance. Brokers typically request a limit of $1,000,000.
Physical Damage
This is insurance against damage caused to your truck. It is not mandatory if the truck is paid off. However, if the truck is financed, it actually belongs to the bank until the loan is fully paid off. Banks do not allow the use of the truck without this type of insurance.
Cargo liability insurance
Cargo insurance is a must-have for transporting goods, and brokers won’t allow you to do so without it. The most common limit is $100,000, but we can easily arrange higher limits of $150,000, $200,000, or $250,000 for those who require them based on the characteristics of their transported goods. The average price is around $1,800 per year.
General liability
Required by some (approximately 5%) brokers and Amazon Relay. Covers damage to other individuals caused not by a vehicle (slippery floor, fire, etc.) on your premises. Cost is approximately $550 per year.
Non trucking liability
Optional insurance is added to Physical Damage. It covers your liability when you use the truck for personal purposes (not for transporting cargo). If you are from New York or Florida, you need this type of insurance to register your truck.
Trailer interchange
Trailer interchange insurance is added to cover semi-trailers transported under an interchange agreement, when the trailer moves from point A to point B. Trailer interchange insurance covers any damage caused to such a trailer (but not the cargo) while it is under the control of the insured trucker.

How quickly will I receive my quote?
You can receive a Physical Damage quote within a few hours. In the case of urgent need, an Auto Liability quote can also be obtained within 1 day. However, if you want to get the best deal, it’s better to take care of insurance in advance and request a quote about 6 weeks before your current policy expires.
What factors can affect the cost of my insurance policy?
The driver’s age and driving experience, driving record, location and years of business operation, type of operations, coverage options and vehicle characteristics – all of these can play a role in determining the cost of your insurance.
What can I do if I have insurance claims or a poor CAB score?
With proper explanation of the circumstances of insurance claims or certain driving violations, most insurance companies may consider campaigns with a low rating.
Do you have a Claim service?
We do not have a claim department in the agency, however we can advise you on how to contact the insurance company and proofread all the information you submit to the adjuster in order to move the claim forward.
